Few days back we have talked about FTP addon for firefox and I thought to give you a simple tutorial to get access to and edit the .htaccess file.
This tutorial will help you to edit wordpress .htaccess file using free FTP client Filezilla.
# Login to your host using FTP access in Filezilla.
# Now under Filezilla menu options > Select Server > Force showing hidden files.
# Next you need to navigate to your root folder of your domain and download the .htaccess file.
# Before you making changes on your .htaccess file, I highly recommend you to take a backup of your .htaccess file.
